2025 Resolutions
Updates as of January 12, 2026
Run 1,000 miles, ~20/week --> 1,060 miles run!
Races
- Quad Rock 50 - May 10 --> Had a great day, but didn't make it past the time cut at the 40 mile aid station.
- Xterra Lory State Park - June 21 --> missed registration 😫
- Continental Divide Trail Run (16 miler) - August 23rd --> Super fun tune up with my running partner Andrew Spas (3:31:50)
- Run Rabbit Run 100 - September 12 - looking to drop to the 50, but that could get interesting - Finished the 50 and had a great supporting cast! (13:35:29)
Objectives
- Mt. Tuk --> couldn't get a healthy climbing partner this season
- Mt. Shasta --> Success!
- Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim --> this came together miraculously and then fell apart when the North Rim caught fire. Will look to another year.
- Climb at least 1 Colorado Centennial - Mount Silverheels!
- Mauna Kea --> I impregnated my wife and we are now pushing our plans for a Hawaii trip out to 2026
- Bike Haleakala - same as above
- White Rim MTB - couldn't find a partner
Read 12 books, 1/month - 10 through August (mostly running stuff). Really slowed down with work picking up. - Finished at 14 with a lot of partial reads.
Write 1 blog article per month - whopping 0, but with the busy work year and big physical objectives, I'm not worried it slipped.
Reduce alcohol & sugar - Better on alcohol, ok on sugar.
